Career Moves: T-Pain Launches Nappy Boy Digital

by Upscale Swagger on June 3, 2008

Hit maker T-Pain has been really building off his success. “Mr. Teddy Pender Her Ass Down,” has gone off into a new business field in the music industry by launching a digital record label. The digital record label would be a direct outlet to release his hits to fans via all major digital download sites.

The first artist on his roster will be Tay Dizm, a miami native that apprenticed on both T-Pain’s Rappa Ternt Sanga and Epiphany.

I personally think this was an excellent idea for T-Pain to be doing. T-Pain is one of the few artist out right now that can actually sell records & ringtones. According to SOHH.com:

“T-Pain is no stranger to success. He debuted on the music scene with his 2005 hit “I’m Sprung” and his 2007 smash single “Buy U A Drank” sold more than 3 million ringtones. To date, T-Pain has sold over 15 million ringtones, which gives him the record for the largest seller of ringtones.”
