Barneys New York Appoints New CEO

Barneys New York announced today the appointment of Mark Lee to the company as the new CEO. Lee has been in the luxury brand and retail industry for 25 years and has worked at some of today’s top designers.

Mark Lee was the former President and CEO of the Gucci brand from 2004 through 2008. Throughout Lee’s leadership at Gucci, the brand achieved significant brand success and saw a 46% increase in revenue growth. During his final year at Gucci, the brand was even named as the “Most Coveted Luxury Brand In The World” by Nielsen in 2008. Mark has also spent some time working for Yves Saint Laurent as CEO and held top positions at Saks Fifth Avenue, Giorgio Armani and Jil Sander.
