Jean Paul Gaultier will be honored by the Fragrance Foundation with the prestigious 2011 FiFi Hall of Fame Award at the annual The FiFi Awards celebration on Wednesday May 25th in New York City. The Foundation’s Board of Directors have deemed Gaultier as one who has brought extraordinary ingenuity, creativity, dedication and inner resources to bear, not only to his company’s success but to the fragrance industry as a whole.

“What goes for my clothes, goes for my perfumes,” says Gaultier. “I strive always to be objectively unique, seductive but very structured, provocative but very desirable, to use fragrance and glass to channel what lace and denim reinvent in each runway show. This award is an immense honor for me. It brings me great pleasure to know that my fragrances have made such a mark and that they have brought joy to many. I am very grateful to the FiFi jury for their kind recognition. I never thought that I would be admitted into a Hall of Fame and here I am knocking at its door.”
