Yesterday it all went down at Apple’s press conference where they unveiled the all-new iPhone 4S. The iPhone 4S unfortunately sports the same design but packs quite a few upgrades.

The iPhone 4S features an upgraded Apple dual-core processor which makes tasks and loading times sharper. It offers 7x better performance than the previous iPhone in terms of graphics. Battery life has also been bumped up to 8 hours of 3G talk time. In addition, an 8-megapixel camera has been included with the ability to record in 1080p with image stabilization and face detection.

Apple has also implemented Siri into the iPhone 4S. Siri is a personal voice assistant that includes voice dictation and will also transcribe your voice to text in any text field.

Apple has added a brand new antenna where the phone will switch between two antennas to offer even better call quality. The S in 4S stands for speed. Users will also notice a 3x increase in data speeds since the device is now compatible with HSPA+ 14.4.

The iPhone 4S is now a world phone and is expected to work on multiple carries across different networks globally. Price points haven’t changed and start at $199 for the 16GB, $299 for the 32GB, and $399 for the 64GB which will also be available in black and white. Starting October 7th, Apple will begin accepting pre-orders with the official launch date on October 14th.
