The Carters are not only dominating record sales with hit after hit, they also have topped Forbes Magazine’s annual list of Hollywood’s 20 Top-Earning Couples. In total, they’ve earned $162 million, in which $82 million was made by Jay-Z and Beyonce made $80 million. Second place was Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith who went home with $85 million. Sean John has a new fragrance for men ready to hit stores next month called “I Am King”. Although TV & Print ads have already been completed, Diddy has decided to add more to it. Diddy plans to promote the fragrance in a lunch he will hold in Los Angeles and on TV talk shows and link his new fragrance and Obama. Diddy recently told the Wall Street Journal, “When you see Barack Obama, you see a strong, elegant black man and when people see my ad, it’s almost like that’s the trend.“ I personally think it will be interesting to see how far Diddy will go with this. I have a feeling it won’t stop there.

Jaden Smith, the son of Will Smith, has just landed a new acting gig to be apart of an all new version of the 1984 hit film “The Karate Kid”. The movie will be produced by Jerry Weintraub and Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment, along with his partners James Lassiter and Ken Stovitz. The film was written by Chris Murphy and will begin shooting next year in Beijing and other cities.  

Sean “Diddy” Combs is looking to expand his empire by purchasing Encye Clothing Co. from Liz Claiborne. Combs believes he can expand Enyce’s popularity through the cutting-edge marketing that’s made his various brands a success.

“I remember when Enyce was sold back in 2003 for $114 million,” Combs told AllHipHop.com exclusively. “I was always a fan of the brand from when [founders] Evan Davis, Lando Felix, and Tony Shellman owned it. About a year ago I heard that Liz Claiborne was considering selling it because it wasn’t a good fit for their portfolio. I knew it would be a great opportunity so we began negotiations which took about six months.”

Diddy seem extremely excited about the deal. Diddy has said he plans to move Enyce Clothing Co. into a different direction from Sean John by supplying quality fashion items at a lower price point. Both Liz Claiborne and Combs have agreed to work extensively with employees, retail partners, and vendors to ensure a smooth transition period. 

“I’m extremely excited about this purchase, and since my boy Tony Shellman used to own it gives me more motivation to do right by it,” Combs told AllHipHop.com. “And above all, as a black businessman I want to keep inspiring the African-American community to keep moving forward and pursuing opportunities in business. Black entrepreneurship and wealth building is very important to me and I want the youth and everyone to know these goals are attainable to them as well.”

At the moment, the exact sale amount of the Encye acquisition has not been disclosed.

Kanye West recently held an album preview party in L.A. on Tuesday night. Kanye wanted to do it big wanting to give his fans and give guests something to remember, so of course he fills the room with naked models.

The idea came about when Kanye hired Italian contemporary artist Vanessa Beecroft to take over a party space in the Los Angeles loft where the event was held and she hired 50 live nude models for the event. The models posed like statues against a wall of light, as West unveiled his new album to stunned guests. 

Kanye hinted to his guest of 700 that he didn’t care if critics give him a negative review saying ”These are pieces of real life that I’m putting out for people to judge. It’s from my heart. I don’t give a f**k if someone rates it ‘hot’ or ‘not.’ I’m here to bring positivity that cannot be judged. It’s like judging a grandmother’s love.” 

He also mentioned to critics, fans and music executives in attendance that his new “Cold As Winter” track was tribute to his mother who died last year due to complications from cosmetic surgery.

Kanye also revealed he’s planning to release another album next summer.

After the successful 5 seasons of Run’s House, MTV has decided to give Vanessa & Angela Simmons a spin-off TV show following the hit series. The show is going to be called Daddy’s Little Girls and it will focus the girls personal and business aspirations. Vanessa will follow her journey to follow to become an successful actress. While Angela will be focusing on her music and fashion aspirations. You will also see bits and pieces of the girls working on  the Pastry’s brand throughout the season. Daddy’s Little Girls is set to debut in January 2009.

Don’t worry though this isn’t the end of Run’s House. Season 6 of Run’s House has already been confirmed.

Hip-Hop Mogul 50 Cent is ready to take on the publishing business with a new book in the works entitled “The 50th Law”. 50 Cent has teamed up with author of ”The 48 Laws Of Power” Robert Greene. Vibe Magazine has the official scoop on how everything came about.

The hustler is an entrepreneur. This book celebrates their mentality. These are people who are incredibly resourceful. They are incredibly inventive and creative. They just don’t have the resources for anything that we consider worthy. But much of what they do is just as interesting as a business man or politician. Its working with the little you have, and making something out of it. The attitude, and the way they go about it fascinated me.

Halle Berry has launched her fragrance yesterday in New York. Throughout the last two years, Halle has been working hard at this fragrance and has been involved in every aspect of creating the fragrance, from doing scent tests to helping design the bottle itself and made sure that the woody oriental included two of her most-loved notes.

“Fragrance is something I’ve wanted to do for myself,” said Berry during an interview with WWD Thursday afternoon, clad in a spaghetti-strapped brown Hervé L. Leroux dress, Gucci platform stilettos and Stephen Dweck jewelry. “It’s a real, true expression of who I am — I was involved in all aspects of making it. It felt like it was the right time in my life to take it on, and Coty’s been a great partner to do that with.
