Chow Tai Fook Jewelery, a company based out of Hong Kong, recently purchased the 507 carat Cullinan Heritage diamond from Petra Diamonds for $35.3 million. Petra recovered the gem from its Cullinan mine near Pretoria in South Africa in September last year. The diamond described as the “size of a chicken egg,” has been claimed the 19th largest diamond ever found and the most expensive rough diamond ever sold. The record price reflected the incredible rarity of stone based on its remarkable size and exceptional color and clarity. Chow Tai Fook Jewelery has yet to outline its plans for the stone.
Designer David Cordoso created these renderings of a two-door, rear-engined Lamborghini SUV/ Crossover. Although, Lamborghini doesn’t have any plans on releasing an SUV anytime soon, Cordoso does a great job illustrating what one might look like.

After two-years in the making, Ferrari has built a driving simulator that is possibly the most advanced to date. The driving simulator stands 18-feet high and takes up two stories. The base weighs a heavy 200 hundred tons and on top of that are a platform of actuators that support the aluminum and composite driving structure.
Beyoncé’s first fragrance “Heat” is expected to be a huge success when it hits department stores next year. Industry sources are already projecting the fragrance to generate $100 million at retail globally in its first year.
Knowles teamed up with Givaudan’s Claude Dir and Olivier Gillotin to create the superb scent. The name behind the fragrance comes from Beyoncé’s past concert tours, where most of the performances had fire involved. Dolce & Gabbana has sparked attention with their new Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign featuring Madonna. The images were taken by celebrity photographer Steven Klein in New York City. The ad campaign will be published in this week’s Italian Vanity Fair. Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana said, “To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true”.
John Galliano, creative director of Christian Dior, has designed a Christmas tree for the renowned London hotel Claridge. The tree stands 20 ft high and is made up of paper-mache, paper and polystyrene. Its inspiration from icy snow scenes, mixed with a tropical twist, dominates the hotel’s lobby. The tree is painted in white and metallic blue and settled on the branches are a handmade leopard, several parrots and a dragonfly. This partnership marks the first time in the hotel’s 112-year history that Claridge’s has worked with a famed fashion designer on its Christmas tree.
Notable Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka has created a new window display for Maison Hermès in Tokyo, Japan. Inspired by a previous window display he presented in 2004, this new setup showcases a restructured design with an appearance by a famed Japanese actress. The display will be up till January 19, 2010.
